Kelly Poon graduated from Huamin Primary School, Yishun Town Secondary School and Singapore Polytechnic.
She auditioned for Project SuperStar in April 2005
Poon came in 2nd in the Grand Finals of Project Superstar and secured a recording deal with Universal Music.
Released her first album Love me, Kelly 2006, 14th of February in Singapore and later was signed to Yao Chien and was based in Taiwan with 在世界中心 being her 2nd album released in Singapore and her debut album in Taiwan. Her third album is Smiling Kelly, released on 22 October 2008 in Taiwan.
She also then ended her contract with Yao Chien, now 2010, signed with
ROCK RECORDS(TW). Released her 4th new music work, consist of her
compositions, released 2011, 29th of July Super Kelly, 超給麗 in Taiwan and 2011, 3rd of August in Singapore.

Hi there!
We are a group of students from ACJC and this is our PW blog on local music.
We chose to do this because we foresaw a risk in losing our local music talents due to the stiff competition posed by the overseas artistes.
This project hence aims to support those who already have an interest and talent in providing a platform for them to showcase their talents.
In addition, we hope to spark an interest in the local music culture by displaying to our citizens the wide variety of music and songs that our local talents have produced over the ages
We hope that through setting up this blog, we would be able to create a greater awareness among youths about our very own Singaporean local music ie, Xinyao, local artistes and their music.

This song was written for the television drama, The Coffee Shop. It talks about how the coffee shop used to be the place where many Singaporeans would gather together and chat about the little things that happened in their lives, thus the coffee shop acts as a place where people's hearts get connected.
